Account Executive – Job Description

 

JOB TITLE:  Account Executive

 

SUMMARY

ENT has an opportunity available for an Account Executive to join our Sales team working with SMB, Education, and Non-Profit customers located in the Missouri/Kansas/Illinois market. This position will be focused on achieving goals by selling ENT’s suite of products through multiple OEM’s including Extreme Networks, Aerohive, HP/Aruba, Barracuda, VMware, etc.  This position will also be responsible for assisting in selling our Managed Service offerings to potential customers.  Additionally, the Account Executive will be responsible for developing a strategy and plan to handle future growth in their account base through capacity planning, training, and process improvement.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct research on clients’ needs and provide goods that meet such needs

Attend meeting with clients and manufacturers to inquire about products and services

Identify workplace problems and recommend solutions

Create marketing plans for the introduction of new products and services to consumers

Develop and manage reference clients through high quality technical, professional client relationships

Demonstrated ability to articulate alternatives in terms of cost, benefit, and risk where multiple solutions exist

Demonstrated ability to independently create and present business solutions in a manner appropriate for non-technical client senior executives

Knowledge of competitive environments and alternative technology solutions/approaches

In depth knowledge of competitors

Demonstrated project management skills

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques

Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Job Skills and Abilities:

Direct sales experience within the hardware and software industry, selling complex solutions

Must have demonstrated track record of sales success with high dollar value technology product/solutions

Must be able to prospect and identify business opportunities, conduct needs analysis and present and close solutions sales to targeted accounts

Professional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal are required with the ability to present and establish relationships with customer’s senior level executives

Must possess excellent negotiation and closing skills with the proven ability to qualify prospects from both an operational and financial standpoint

Demonstrated ability to help solve complex problems working with the responsible account teams

Ability to think creatively and be able to generate effective sales ideas and strategies

Strong ability to work effectively in a team setting

Ability to travel as required

Education, Experience and Technical Knowledge:

Minimum of an AAS degree

Strong experience in sales and marketing

5+ years of sales experience

2+ years of sales experience delivering IT solutions

Previous involvement with the SMB market is required

Previous involvement selling Managed Services a plus

Knowledge of Extreme Networks (wireless and wired) a plus

Knowledge of Aruba/HP (wireless and wired) a plus

Knowledge of Aerohive a plus

Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V a plus
